“We had a fantastic five-day trip to Georgia, thanks to Travo's great arrangements for our itinerary and accommodations. The experience was seamless and comfortable for our family. From airport pickup to drop-off, everything went smoothly. A special thanks to our tour guide, Mr. Vaishnav, whose knowledge about Georgia's history and culture, along with his friendly demeanor, made each location more interesting and enjoyable.”

Private tour, 8 nights with our own guide and vehicle
About this trip
9-Day Batumi & Borjomi Tour is a private, 9-day journey through Tbilisi · Gudauri · Gori · Kakheti · Borjomi · Batumi · Bakuriani, run by our own guides and drivers rather than subcontracted to a local agency. Mountains, monasteries and eight thousand years of winemaking, two hours from the Gulf.
You travel as your own group, no strangers, no fixed coach departure. The itinerary below is our recommended shape; a consultant can move a day, add a night or change a hotel before you commit to anything.
Pace: Several long transfer days and full sightseeing days throughout.

Day1
Arrive Tbilisi, then the Tbilisi City Tour (half day).
Tbilisi reveals itself in layers. The golden domes of Holy Trinity Cathedral rise over the city, then the old town draws you down toward the Mtkvari River, past a cliff-top church that has watched the water for more than seven hundred years and a glass footbridge that looks borrowed from the future. The day ends on ramparts that have guarded Tbilisi for sixteen centuries, with one more surprise hidden in a gorge right in the middle of the city.
Overnight in Tbilisi -
Day2
Gudauri Mountain Tour.
Today the city falls away. The road follows a turquoise reservoir into the Caucasus, pausing at a centuries-old fortress on the water's edge and at the place where two rivers of different colours run side by side without mixing. Through the village that claims to have invented khinkali, it climbs to Gudauri, above 2,000 metres, where a mosaic viewpoint looks across a sweep of peaks. Stay for the view, or ask us about flying over it.
Overnight in Gudauri -
Day3
Gori & Mtskheta Heritage Tour.
Three thousand years in a single day. Uplistsikhe, a town carved into the rock long before Christianity reached Georgia, comes first; then Gori, its fortress, and the museum to the town's most controversial son, Joseph Stalin. The day closes in Mtskheta, Georgia's ancient capital, at a hilltop monastery and a cathedral nearly a thousand years old.
Overnight in Tbilisi -
Day4
Kakheti & Sighnaghi Wine Tour.
Georgia has made wine for eight thousand years, and Kakheti is its heartland, home of qvevri, the clay jars buried in the ground to age it. The day leads to Sighnaghi, a hill town of terracotta roofs and walls long enough to walk, looking across the Alazani Valley to the snowline of the Caucasus. On the way: the monastery where St Nino, who brought Christianity to Georgia, is buried, and a traditional Kakhetian winery. A tasting is easy to add.
Overnight in Tbilisi -
Day5
Borjomi & Mtskheta Tour.
Spring water and sacred stone. Borjomi, the spa town whose salty mineral water is famous across the former Soviet Union, lets you taste it straight from the spring in its old park, then cross a swaying bridge above the river. On the way back, the hilltop Jvari Monastery and Svetitskhoveli Cathedral show why little Mtskheta was Georgia's capital and remains its spiritual home.
Overnight in Bakuriani -
Day6
Batumi Black Sea Tour.
Georgia's Black Sea city pairs a seven-kilometre seafront promenade with some of the boldest buildings in the region. The moving steel lovers of the Ali and Nino statue turn toward each other every evening, and just south of town Gonio Fortress has guarded this coast since Roman times. A yacht, the dolphins or a swim? Ask us.
Overnight in Batumi -
Day7
Borjomi & Bakuriani Alpine Tour.
From spa town to ski slopes in one day. Borjomi's wooded park and its mineral spring come first, with views over the town from the hillside above. Then the road climbs into the Lesser Caucasus to Bakuriani, the resort where generations of Georgians learned to ski, and up toward Kokhta for the long views. Summer or snow, ask us what's possible up there.
Overnight in Bakuriani -
Day8
Bakuriani Mountain Tour.
A day of clean air and wide valleys around Bakuriani. The resort's mountains look across pine forest and the quiet Mitarbi valley, green and open in summer, busy with skiers in winter. It is the kind of place people come to slow down. Want a mountain coaster or a horse ride in the mix? We'll fit it in.
Overnight in Tbilisi -
Day9
Free morning, transfer to the airport for departure.

Average daytime high, night-time low and rain days for the places this trip actually goes, from five years of recorded observations. Not a forecast, and not the capital's weather standing in for the mountains.
Good to know
- Visas
- It depends on your passport: see visa rules for Georgia, each linked to its government source. We will tell you what we know, but the requirement is yours to check against your own passport.
- Best time to go
- May–June and September–October. We run this trip outside those months too, prices and conditions change, so ask.
- Getting there
- International flights are not included. Most travellers fly into Tbilisi; we meet you at the airport.
- Confirming
- The price you see is real, but it is a quotation until a consultant checks hotel and guide availability for your dates, normally within 24 hours.
Questions we get asked
Is this a group tour with other people?
No. Every trip on this site is private: your group, your vehicle, your guide, your dates. Nobody else joins you.
Can the itinerary be changed?
Yes. This is our recommended shape for 9 days, not a fixed product. Add a night, drop a day trip, change a hotel tier, a consultant reprices it before you commit.
Is the price per person or total?
Prices show per person based on two people sharing a double room, with the total alongside. Solo travellers and larger groups price differently, the table above shows how.
When do I pay?
Nothing is taken through this website. A consultant confirms availability, sends a written quote with the payment schedule, and only then do you decide.
What if the weather closes a mountain road?
It happens, mostly outside the months above. We offer the nearest equivalent we can arrange and explain any difference in cost, either way.
